Free All Berlin Fly-Maggots

250 000 maggots, white cube

Within the space of a week all available fly-maggots in the fishing  shops of Berlin were bought up and collected: 40 litres of maggots; 250 000 larvae. They were brought to an exhibition space were they would transform into pupae and emerge as flies over the course of one week. Ultimately the flies would exit the premises via a hole in the window. On passing through the ‘fly gate’ each fly received its own personal farewell by name from speakers mounted inside the gallery space
